Shrublike perennials grown for their finely cut, aromatic, Gold and green leaves. The flowers are insignificant. Grow them in average, well-drained soil. In areas with hot, humid summers, clumps of artemisia tends to fall open in the middle; cut the plants back hard by half if they flop.
