President Grevy is a deciduous shrub that flowers with immense panicles packed with highly fragrant, double lavender-blue florets in late spring. This French lilac was introduced in 1886 and still remains a favourite. Tolerates light shade but produces more flowers in full sun. Prune spent flowers immediately after flowering. Appreciates a good mulching with compost or wood chips.
