Winter Aconite is a charming ephemeral that pops out of the ground in late winter. Cup shaped, upward facing bright yellow flowers are surrounded by divided leaf bracts. Winter Aconite goes dormant by late spring. If happy it will self-seed and naturalize over time. Aconite are easily grown in humus rich, well drained soil. It tolerates most soils.
