A highly sought after native shrub Pinky Promise blooms early in the summer and sets masses of large pink berries that resemble gumballs. The berries last throughout the winter offering food and the branches shelter for wildlife. Do not fertilize as this causes too much foliage growth and not enough flowers. Loves a good compost and manure mulch. Prune out dead and damaged branches early spring before new growth begins.
