One of the most shade tolerant ornamental grasses, northern sea oats is noted for its district drooping seed heads in late summer. They hang from slightly arching stems and flutter in the breeze. This grass provides good fall colour with seed heads turning a purplish bronze. Pest free and very low care. Cut back to the ground in early spring.
