Long time favourite of the spring garden. Beautiful new range of colours and unique flower shapes. Plants form low tufts of ferny grey-green leaves bearing crocus like flowers with single to double fringed petals. Soft pink through rich dark purple and red colours. Happy in a sunny location but will thrive in part shade. May divide in early fall and will self seed where happy. Furry seed heads provide summer interest. Cut back late fall.
