Grown for its eye catching foliage Hakonechloa is a tough long-lived ornamental grass that unlike most grasses thrives in moist shady conditions. This grass has loose, cascading mounds of gracefully arching slender leaves, that ripple in the breeze. Extremely adaptable. Great as an accent plant or along pathways, under trees, or in a container. Resistant to pests. Cut back foliage to the ground in early spring. Can be divided in spring.
