Hepatica is one of the first plants to flower in the spring. Very hardy and can take a late frost or snow without damage. Named for it's green, glossy, liver shaped leaves. Star shaped 1/2" flowers come in shades of blue, lavender, white and yellow. Early pollen source for bees. Seeds are spread by ants! Loves to grow in an open woodland.
