Delphiniums are the stars of the early summer garden. Plants form a low mound of deadly cut leaves bearing tall spikes of satiny flowers. King Arthur has rich deep royal purple petals with a white centre or "bee". Remove flower stalks at base to encourage repeat blooming in the fall. I like to stake tall stalks wth bamboo to keep them from snapping in stormy weather. Attractive to hummingbirds. Mass plant for maximum impact.
