 Sedum/ Variegated Perennial Height:24" Light:Full Sun Flowering Time:Autumn Zone:3
This Sedum has green leaves edged in creamy yellow. Large heads of dusty-rose flowers mature into reddish-brown seedheads for the winter. Sometimes floppy in moist and rich sites: pinch growth back by half in June to reduce the height if desired. Outstanding cut flower, and also attracts butterflies. Remove any all green shoots as these will eventually overtake the whole clump. Sedum, are often taken for granted in the garden, partly because they don’t bloom until the fall, but also because they require so little care from the gardener. Their thick, succulent leaves are able to withstand drought and rainy weather. The flower buds form early and remain attractive well in winter. $5 pot |
