Delphiniums are one of the classic flowers of the traditional summer garden. Their tall upright spikes laden with intensely-coloured flowers are a feature of herbaceous borders, where they are best grown near the back to add height and drama. Black Knight has tall, robust, candle-like flower spikes packed with attractive, deep blue blooms, each complemented by a striking large black bee in the centre. A stunning addition to any border.After flowers are spent, cut stalks back to just above the first leaves for continued flower production. Remove old growth in fall after frost or before new growth begins in spring. Loves a sheltered but sunny position on good garden soil.
