Uvularia grandiflora Perennial Native Height:30" Light:Light Shade Flowering Time:Spring Zone:4
Uvularia grandiflora is native to the eastern portion of the United States, going up into Canada. In the garden here we have it planted in a mixed woodland setting. Flowering for about a month, this plant requires very little upkeep. It usually takes several years to naturalize into a garden setting. Uvularia grandiflora, Merrybells is a spectacular, clump-forming lily cousin that rises on straight stalks to produce crowds of dangling, lemon-yellow flowers in April-May. The flower's 6 segments twist like streamers. Beautiful! Native to damp, deciduous woods in much of east-central North America. In gardens it grows well in almost any soil that is moist, rich and organic. Dappled shade. $5 per pot |
