Indigo-blue hyacinth-like, very fragrant, flowers atop three foot tall plants. A herbaceous perennial that does not twine round surrounding plants or structures. Small, tubular shaped, scented, flowers. The one inch wide flowers are produced in large clusters in the leaf axils. Blooms in July to September. After a few years of growth plants become thick and have a spread of three to four feet and have some nice large leaves. Best utilized as a plant that scrambling through other large perennials and shrubs. From Eastern China, Korea, Japan .
