Angelica is a truly outrageous plant, sporting big, coarse, tropical foliage rising to 4' Rich burgundy coats the umbellate flowers and upper stems. It's dramatic in the garden, growing best in partial shade. Considered a biennial but produces handfuls of seeds to collect and resow or allow to self-sow on its own. Plant against a light-colored backdrop such as a wall or fence to display the strong vertical form and colour.Beautiful contrast to finely textured grasses or woody plants
