Eragrostis is a spectacular grass producing large, diffuse panicles 3' long. They bear tiny shimmering amethyst spikelets. A cool season clumping grass that grows vigorously until the flowers emerge mid-summer. They are great for a specimen position in the garden but look equally lovely massed especially when they can be seen with the sun shining through the flowers.
